Spring 2020 Run Strong Clinic

You’ve reached 5k or 10k…now what? Maybe you have your eyes on a half or marathon? Or perhaps your goal is to improve your 8k or 10k time! This training program and community is for those who have a running base of 5-10k and would like to have support to build up their running speed endurance and train for 8k’s, 10k’s,1/2 & full marathons (and beyond!). Program will include advanced run training (aka: hills, speed work and tempo training) as well as a focus on form and quality of movement. Training programs are available for 5k, 8k, 10k, 1/2 Marathon and Marathon as part of the clinic that outline run workouts to complete for non-clinic runs. This clinic will have pace groups for the 5-6min/km and 6-7+min/km.
Pre-requisite:runners starting this program must be consistently running 5-6k at least 2x per week for a few months prior to starting this program. Approximate pace should be between 5:30- 7:30 per kilometer (5k in 27 – 40 minutes | 10k in 55 – 1hr 15 minutes). Those doing walk/run intervals of 10 minutes running or more are welcome! Please note: for those wishing to train for a half marathon or marathon I highly recommend a solid base of 10k for at least one year prior to starting the build to a half marathon or full. In my experience this provides the best foundation for a happy body!
Clinic Fee: $195+GST and includes the Super You Run Strong Virtual Course as well as a technical top!

Gillian Goerzen has been teaching people to run for nearly 20 years. She holds a degree in Kinesiology and is a registered Personal Trainer and Group Fitness and Yoga Instructor. With a happy & healthy 20-year relationship with running Gillian has run everything from 5k fun runs on the road, to trail events of varying distance to the Ironman Triathlon and is excited to help you find your passion for running!
Kate Fisher is an accomplished runner who has also been coaching for 15+ years. As a registered fitness instructor and Personal Trainer with a minor in Kinesiology and a passion for the sport Kate is not only a fabulous support but a wonderful wealth of knowledge!
Danielle Brazeau is a passionate runner and coach who has been a wonderful addition to the Super You Coaching Team. She is a registered Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor with seemingly bottomless pit of energy and enthusiasm.
