Run Strong on the Trails

Do you LOVE running…but feel less than inspired by the roads? If you’re already consistently running 2-3x per week and are looking for the “next step” but have lost that loving feeling for hitting the road – this clinic is for you! This 5-week clinic will take you OFF the road & onto the trails for some fun adventures. With a focus on safety, technical skills & trail community, this 5-week trail clinic will leave you feeling inspired by hills & running strong. The goal of this clinic is to give you greater comfort on the trails and connect you with the great trail running community that exists in Nanaimo! This clinic is also a great tune-up for the upcoming inaugural Nanaimo Vancouver Island Trail Series short and long course events!

Spring 2018 Session:

Dates: Tuesdays at 6:30pm (May 1 – 29)

Location: Westwood Lake, 2nd parking lot

Clinic fee: $50+GST for the 5-week program

Pre-requisite: Runners should have a base of running (are consistently running 2-3x per week for 40 minutes+

About your clinic leaders: 

Gillian Goerzen has been teaching people to run for nearly 20 years. She holds a degree in Kinesiology and is a registered Personal Trainer and Group Fitness and Yoga Instructor. With a happy & healthy 20-year relationship with running Gillian has run everything from 5k fun runs on the road, to trail events of varying distance to the Ironman Triathlon and is excited to help you find your passion for running!

Kate Fisher is an accomplished runner who has also been coaching for 15+ years. As a registered fitness instructor and Personal Trainer with a minor in Kinesiology and a passion for the sport Kate is not only a fabulous support but a wonderful wealth of knowledge!
